Sony's announcement on Twitter reads - "We have decided to postpone the Playstation 5 event scheduled for June 4. While we understand gamers worldwide are excited to see PS5 games, we do not feel that right now is a time for celebration and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard."
The delay seems to be due to the current ongoing protests against use of violence on the public from law officials & enformentment agents worldwide.
The protests come after the May 25 killing of unarmed man George Floyd by Minnesota police officer Derek Chauvin, which has sparked riots and uproar in the US.
We will release more updates on the ongoing issue as it progresses.
